I guess an update every three months or so must be as often as I can handle! :) We had a wonderful holiday with our families. The kids had pretty simple lists for Santa this year: a microphone, police costume, and a firetruck for the oldest, a castle and some princesses for the sweet little girl, and some cars, of course, for the wee one. All of their wishes were fulfilled and they have been playing happily ever since.
Traveling is the hardest part of the holidays. Each year that we make the rounds, my desire to wake up in our home on Christmas morning increases. I really hope that next year is the year Santa can find us at home on Christmas morning. It sure must be hard following us around and knowing to come so early! :) I love seeing all of our families during the holidays, but I really think we would all enjoy sleeping in our own beds!
We have had a goal for several years to move back to Iowa. We seriously began making a plan a year ago and now are 7 months from the end of our 18 month plan. I hope that we can make this happen. As much as we love the friends we have all made here, it will be so nice to be near our family and have the opportunity to settle in and get our roots set. I never thought I would call Iowa home again, but now I can't wait to get there!
